Does anyone remember The Real Ghostbusters? It used to be my favorite cartoon, and then it completely slipped off of my radar. A few weeks ago I found out that it's been released for the first time on DVD! Season 1 just came out and I picked it up the other day.
It's awesome! The episodes all have introductions by random cast/crew from the show, which gives a bit of a behind the scenes info about the show. There are also some commentaries, a "making of"documentary, and a lot of other cool stuff.

I was a teen when that came out. However the full series (including the renamed final seasons "Slimer And The Real Ghostbusters") was already released around the last few months of 2008 by Time Life Video in an awesome fire station box set. Though the price is high $180!! But it includes not only all 7 seasons and every uncut episode but a bonus disc of special features only in the box set.
If you have the money it is well worth the price (you can even purchase it in four installments of about $40 or so bucks each). Here is a link to the box set. Time Life Video The Real Ghostbusters Complete Series
But yes they do plan on releasing all seasons on individual sets at about $20 each which averages cheaper than buying the the whole thing, but you don't get the awesome packaging or the bonus disc.
